National Radiologic Technology Week® is an annual event that honors the essential contributions of medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals to patient care and health care safety.

This weeklong celebration occurs during the week of Nov. 8 to mark the anniversary of Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen's discovery of the x-ray on Nov. 8, 1895.

NRTW® 2026 will be celebrated Nov. 8–14 with the theme “Radiating Love.” This year’s theme honors the compassion, dedication and commitment medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals bring to patient care and safety every day. Check back soon for the new poster design!

Poster Gallery

Each year, National Radiologic Technology Week^® is celebrated with a poster chosen to represent that year’s NRTW^® theme. State affiliates used to submit NRTW^® poster art to the ASRT annual conference as part of a contest until 1988 when professional artists began to design the posters.
