Application Process and Requirements
Please read this information carefully to ensure that the application process is followed.
Requirements
You must be a member of an ASRT affiliate society AND the American Society of Radiologic
Technologists (ASRT) to be eligible for participation in the program.
ASRT members who previously have been chosen to participate in the ASRT Student Leadership Development Program
are welcome to attend the 2020 ASRT Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting
as paying participants.
Students are selected to participate in the ASRT Student Leadership Development Program by their ASRT affiliate
society or the ASRT. An ASRT affiliate is an organized group of radiologic technologists who live in a
specific
region or state. Affiliates sign a valid charter agreement with the ASRT and share a common mission and
purpose
with the ASRT.

or the ASRT as noted below.
An ASRT affiliate is an organized group of radiologic technologists who live in a specific region or state. Affiliates sign a valid charter agreement with the ASRT and share a common mission and purpose with the ASRT.
If your ASRT affiliate society selects student participants, please contact your affiliate
president to learn how to apply and for other guidance. Your affiliate may have additional selection criteria or a different deadline. To find out if your affiliate selects program participants and its contact information click "ASRT Affiliate Societies" below.
Your ASRT affiliate may require you to complete the ASRT application. Here are the components you need to complete the application:
- A copy of your ASRT affiliate society membership card or verification uploaded to ASRT Volunteer Central.
- An essay, also uploaded to ASRT Volunteer Central, that is 500-700 words long and answers the following question:
How do you think you would grow professionally from your participation in the ASRT Student Leadership Development Program?
- A recommendation/permission letter stating that you have your program director's approval to attend the 2020 ASRT Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting, uploaded to ASRT Volunteer Central.
If ASRT is making the selection for your affiliate, the application deadline is Dec.15. Please email [email protected] with any questions.
