- Applications open on ASRT’s website August 1, 2024, and close Nov. 15, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Mountain time. Participants must submit an original essay. Original essays become the property of the ASRT and cannot be returned. The selected essays are not guaranteed to be used by ASRT in any particular way.
- A maximum of four applicants per ASRT affiliate and each branch of the Military (the affiliate does not need to be active) shall be selected with two being selected as program participants and two being selected as alternates. ASRT’s decisions as to the administration, methodology and selection of the ASRT Student to Leadership Development Program participants are final.
- In exchange for acceptance as a participant in the ASRT Student to Leadership Development Program, each recipient agrees to assign to ASRT, upon request, all copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property rights in his/her essay to ASRT, 15000 Central Ave. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87123.
- Participants release ASRT and its directors, officers, partners, employees, and agents from any and all liability with respect to participation in the ASRT Student to Leadership Development Program and participation in, and travel to or from, the ASRT Student to Leadership Development Program.
- Participation in the ASRT Student to Leadership Development Program may constitute income under applicable federal, state and local tax laws and participants shall be solely responsible for payment of any and all taxes that may be due with respect to the acceptance into the program.
- By submitting an application, the participant agrees that he or she understands and will comply with the official rules and consent to ASRT’s use of the participant’s name, portrait (still and video), picture, voice, likeness and biographical information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without additional consent, approval, consideration, compensation, permission or notification.
- ASRT reserves the right to cancel, modify or suspend the program at its discretion.
- The ASRT Student to Leadership Development Program is subject to the laws of the United States of America and is void where prohibited by law.
- The ASRT Student to Leadership Development Program is open only to ASRT student members who are 18 years of age or older and enrolled as a student in an accredited, primary medical imaging or radiation therapy program at the time of submission. They must also be members of one of ASRT’s chartered affiliates (excluding active Military applicants) at the time of application submission.
- Application exception for Military.*
Active-Duty Military may apply if:
- They can provide proof Active Military status.
- They are serving or have served in the radiologic technologist capacity E-5 or below at the time of application.
- Have permission from their commanding officer to participate for three years and attend the Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting during the first program year.
- Have not passed the ARRT or any other credentialing exam.
*The ASRT acknowledges that a military member’s first commitment is to their service and will maintain flexibility to accommodate the member's needs and schedule.
- Acceptance to the ASRT Student to Leadership Development Program includes mandatory participation in the Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting, complimentary round-trip airfare based on ASRT travel guidelines, a stay at a hotel selected by ASRT, meals provided as part of the program and a daily stipend at the current U.S. General Services Administration’s per diem rates. Travel arrangements must be made no later than 30 days prior to the event. If the participant lives in the area of the Annual Governance and House of Delegates meeting, or elects not to use the airfare component, the airfare component, ASRT will not provide compensation or substitution in value. Eligibility is also dependent upon attendance of all required events and completion of the post-meeting survey.
- Upon acceptance, each participant agrees to indemnify, release, and hold harmless ASRT from and against any and all claims and causes of action of violation of right of publicity, infringement of trademark, copyright or other intellectual property rights, arising from or relating to his or her participation in the ASRT Student to Leadership Development Program.
- Applicants are asked to please contact the president of their ASRT chartered affiliate for application and selection guidance, which may include additional criteria or an earlier timeline. Regardless of the affiliate’s criteria, all applicants must fill out ASRT’s application.
- Participants must be continuously enrolled in a medical imaging or radiation therapy program until graduation. If a participant’s program enrollment status changes, they should notify the ASRT via email to [email protected]. A program enrollment status change may include, but is not limited to, removal from a program (either voluntary or involuntary) or graduation. If a participant is removed from a program of study, they may remain in the SLDP if they have reapplied to the program or applied to another accredited program. If a participant is not allowed to re-enroll in their program of study and is not accepted into another accredited program, this would result in the immediate removal from the Student to Leadership Development Program. Graduation will not impact program participation.
Application for the ASRT Student to Leadership Development Program constitutes an agreement of these terms.
